|Lew Jetton & 61 South|
|Thursday May 22, 2003|
|My sister, Lori Mitchell and I once again attended "Blues Night" at Herrin Festa Italiana in Herrin, Illinois on May 22, 2003. Among the acts that night were Shaky Jake with Big Larry and The Chicago Express.
However, the one we came to see was the one and only Lew Jetton & 61 South. Lew and the boys played the night away to a packed crowd! They played selections from their cd "State Line Blues" and some old favorites including my personal fave "Born to Hand Jive".
It was a great night, no rain, comfortable temperatures. It got a bit chilly as the night went on, but Lew kept things warm with the BLUES!
I saw a lot of friends(including Jon E. Quest from WCIL FM) and got lots of hugs and handshakes! I took some pictures too! Here are some of Lew and the boys of 61 South!
It was, by all means, a night I'll not soon forget!
