|Finley, formerly of KFVS is now at WSMV TV, the NBC affiliate in Nashville, TN. He lives there with wife, also a Southern Illinois area airwave Veteran, Rebecca(Howerton).|
|Larry, the retired sports director for WPSD TV for many years, does both on camera and voice over work in local tv commercials.|
|Ben, formerly of KFVS TV(where he worked the Carbondale bureau) is now the Coordinator of Political Events for Newschannel 5 in Nashville, TV.|

|Rebecca worked as the assignment editor at WSIL, then worked as a reporter for the WPSD’s Illinois bureau. She is currently a Communications Director for a foundation in Nashville. Her husband is former KFVS reporter Jeremy Finley.|

|Dave Stricklin(WPSD, KFVS)|
|Dave Stricklin, formerly of WPSD, KFVS and also radio station WCIL in our area now has a government relations practice in Chicago, Springfield and Washington, DC.(Gardner, Carton and Douglas).
Mr. Stricklin also as worked as Director of the State of Illinois' Washington DC office for Illinois Governor Rod Blagojevich. He also served for 3 years as Chief of Staff for the Governor when the Governor was a member of Congress from the 5th Congressional District of Illinois. Prior to that Stricklin was Chief of Staff to Representatives Louis Slaughter(New York) and Glenn Poshard(IL). He now heads Stricklin and Associates(click on picture for current bio)
|Jane McGarry(WPSD, KFVS) is now the weeknight anchor at NBC 5 in Dallas/Fort Worth, Texas.
In addition to the TV stations in our area, she once was a reporter/producer and Host of a magazine show on WRAJ Radio in Anna, Il.
Ms. McGarry is a graduate of SIU and has won several awards including "Personality of the Year" 3 times by the American Women in Radio and Television.
She is now married and has a son.

|Sandra Hughes, formerly of WCEE TV in Mt. Vernon now is a CBS News Correspondent based in Los Angeles.
In fact WCEE was Ms. Hughes first job in broadcast journalism. Since her beginnings in Mt. Vernon she's worked at KMOV in St. Louis, WLKY in Louisville, KY and WTVR in Richmond, Va.
She has recieved an American Woman in Radio and Television Award(in 1988) for a series of "Eye on America" reports for CBS Evening News on wage wars as well as a Missouri Broadcasting Award,Louisville Metro Jouralism Award as well as a Public Service Award in Illinois.
She an her husband, Brian Kazarian, live in L.A. with their 2 children.

|Formerly of KFVS, Andrews can now be seen as an on-air personality on the WEATHER CHANNEL. There she can be seen regularly on the morning and weekend weather segments.|
|Carrie Cline, formerly of KFVS is now at WSAZ, Newschannel 3 in West Virginia .
There she is an anchor/reporter. Cline and her husband Jasper, are the proud parents of a daughter Gabriella.
|Harth, who was at KFVS from 1974-1981 has left television and now is Rev. John Harth, pastor at Guardian Angel Catholic Church in Oran, Missouri.|
|Rick Chambers(a.k.a.) Richard Gue, former anchor at WSIL is now at KCAL in Los Angeles, California, where he and his family live. He has won numerous awards and is actively involved in numerous community projects there.|
|Lindy Thackston, former morning anchor and reporter at WSIL TV 3, has moved on to a reporting job at First Coast News(WJXX ABC-25 and WTLV NBC-12) in Jacksonville, Florida.|
|Barry Hiett, former sports director at WSIL TV 3 is now a reporter at WHNT TV 19 in Huntsville, Alabama.|
|Mr. Cox, who used to host the interview show "The Hour" in the seventies is now the news director for KEZK radio in St. Louis.|
|Streips, former reporter and weekend anchor at WSIL from back in 1984-85, has had quite the career. After leaving channel 3, he moved on to KTVA-TV in Topeka, KS. From there he moved to Latvia in Eastern Europe, his family's "old country", where he remains. There he teaches Journalism at the University of Latvia where he does a seminar on radio and television presentation and American mass media. He also continues to work in television where he hosts a Journalism Roundtable. For eight years did a daily interview show on Radio Latvia.
Karl had the great privilege to serve as translator to President Bill Clinton when he visted Latvia in 1994(and he also got to ride on Air Force One!). He also provides the Latvian voice for the broadasts of the Academy Awards and the Eurovison Song Contest there.

|Mike Sola, formerly at WPSD, is now a weathercaster/feature producer/reporter for WILL the broadcast service
for the University of Illinois and also assists in teaching an Old Time
Radio Drama Course for the College of Communications.
Mike is married to another Southern Illinois Blast from the Past, Sharla Jolly, who worked for WSIL TV.. She reported/produced and anchored some the Channel 3 newscasts during her stay there. She is now in the Office of Public Affairs for the University of Illinois..
They have 2 daughters, 2 dogs and reside in Champaign-Urbana.

|Sandy Moore(KFVS) attended SIU in the Radio-Broadcasting department from 1981-1985, worked in the WCIL newsroom from 1983-1985, then worked at KFVS from 1985 to 1986. There she did the weekend weather and worked as a reporter during the week. She then worked on Capitol Hill for a few years, then in Japan at a PR firm. Moore is now the Senior Director of Media Relations at the McGinn Group in Virgina.|
